Contemporary Garment Atelier & Portfolio

At CLOTHVERA, every garment represents an architectural dialogue between human identity and tactile sculpture. We construct clothing not as temporary trends, but as enduring archives of personal mythology. Through unyielding discipline in pattern draftsmanship, rare organic textiles, and raw visual silhouettes, our atelier translates silent internal narratives into physical form.
Precision tailoring balanced with asymmetrical fluidity.
Raw wools, heavy linens, and tactile silk weave structures.
Scavenged silhouettes refined for modern physical presence.
Our portfolio explores the intersection between raw garment experimentation and delicate hand craftsmanship. Every collection is an investigation into weight, silhouette, textile memory, and personal identity. By omitting unnecessary ornamentation, we accentuate structural purity, revealing the intrinsic soul of modern couture styling.
Garments engineered for quiet presence.
Clothing is not a passive artifact. It absorbs the cadence of our steps, the warmth of summer evening air, and the solemn weight of personal transitions. When an atelier approaches garment creation with absolute reverence for material integrity, each stitch becomes a physical marker in time.
Our bespoke pattern development prioritizes natural body movements over static rigidity. By studying how raw fibers age alongside their wearers, CLOTHVERA crafts heirlooms designed to be passed down through generations, retaining silent stories of style and sanctuary.
“New garments begin long before they reach the wardrobe.”
CLOTHVERA was established as a counterweight against transient industrial fashion cycles. Based on raw tactile research, pattern experimentation, and quiet craftsmanship, our house operates as a contemporary garment atelier and visual research journal.
Every piece is drafted by hand, trial-draped in unbleached cotton calico, and perfected over months of wear testing before inclusion in our limited edits.
Most contemporary fashion operates on a three-week production cycle — design, manufacture, ship, discard. CLOTHVERA operates on a three-month minimum. Not because we are slow, but because the work of building a garment that survives fifteen years cannot be done faster than that.
We begin every piece with the raw fiber. Undyed Belgian linen, untreated Japanese cotton canvas, Italian virgin wool. Nothing is pre-treated, pre-shrunk, or pre-finished before it reaches the atelier. What happens to the material after it arrives is entirely our responsibility — and entirely visible in the finished garment.
The pattern cutting process is deliberately analog. Every new silhouette is drafted on paper, traced onto muslin, draped on a dress form, and photographed before any final fabric is cut. A single outerwear piece routinely goes through twelve to eighteen pattern iterations before approval.
Our limited edits — released seasonally, never more than thirty pieces per silhouette — exist to keep the work visible. The journal exists to explain the work. The bespoke commissions exist to keep the atelier alive between collections.
We do not chase trends. We do not present at fashion weeks. We do not use synthetic blends for economic reasons. What we do is build garments for people who intend to own them for a very long time.
Started as an independent pattern cutting lab focusing on raw linen and organic structural outerwear.
Expansion into custom garment tailoring and bespoke editorial wardrobe direction.
Launching seasonal limited edits and complete custom garment consultations internationally.
One-on-one garment drafting, from initial consultation through final fitting, for clients commissioning custom wardrobe pieces.
Small-batch capsule collections of twelve to thirty pieces per silhouette, released on an irregular schedule driven by material availability.
Ongoing investigation into natural fibers, plant-based dyes, and pre-industrial textile techniques across the atelier journal.
Garment curation and styling for fashion editorials, quiet luxury publications, and independent photography work.
We do not operate on seasonal fashion calendars. There is no spring/summer drop followed by a fall/winter drop. Edits are released when the work is finished, not when the market expects them.
We do not outsource manufacturing. Every garment is cut, sewn, and finished in the atelier. This limits production volume by design — we cannot make more than we can personally oversee.
We do not chase what is currently popular. Our silhouettes are drafted from material properties and human movement patterns, not from runway references or algorithmic forecasts.

Draftsmanship is done by hand. Twelve to eighteen iterations are typical before final approval. Every curve is considered against your specific anatomy.
Everything is cut, sewn, and finished in the atelier. No outsourcing. This limits volume by design — we cannot make more than we can personally oversee.
Every commission includes lifetime repair guidance and material care documentation. We expect our garments to last decades, and we help them do so.
We do not sell ready-to-wear from a catalogue. Every commission involves direct dialogue, measurement, and iteration. There is no one-size-fits-all offering.
A bespoke garment typically takes eight to twelve weeks from dialogue to delivery. Textile sourcing can add four to six more. We do not rush the work.
We do not accept payment from brands to feature their materials or styles in our commissions or journal. Every recommendation reflects our honest editorial position.
Bespoke garment commissions typically range from £1,800 to £6,500 depending on silhouette complexity, material selection, and construction hours. Every commission receives an itemized quote after the initial consultation.
Yes. Approximately 40% of our commissions come from clients outside Europe. Measurement sessions can be conducted remotely with detailed self-measurement guidance, followed by virtual fittings.
Absolutely. Many clients begin with a bespoke garment commission and later engage us for styling or textile sourcing. Combined engagements receive priority scheduling and coordinated material planning.

Every garment starts with heavy brown paper rolls, metal drafting curves, and tailored measurement protocols. We do not utilize standardized digital scaling templates; each size variation is individually re-proportioned by hand.
Our studio houses over 200 deadstock natural fabrics sourced from historic European and Japanese textile mills. Each roll is cataloged with thread weight, origin, and suggested silhouette potential.
